Me Doing my Sis' Face + Giveaways

Hello ladies! I know I've been MIA for a while now. My laptop is still currently being fixed so I don't have my own laptop. Anyway, I'd just like to share with you a picture of my sister. I did her makeup for a party she went to yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't have my stuff with me so I had to make do. There was no e/s primer, and she wasn't even able to curl her lashes and put on mascara :(

Philippine Giveaway!

Hello my lovelies! Since there are so many giveways in blogger, I decided to make one too! So tada, I'm giving away a bottle of Cyleina Grapeseed oil, but this is open to Philippine residents only. I have to apologize to my international readers. I'll have a giveaway that will be open internationally one of these days too, but for now this will be for local residents only because this glass bottle is heavy and will be expensive to ship.

Here's a pic:

photo taken from http://cyleina.multiply.com

Product Description:

Ingredients: grapeseed extract, ylang-ylang essential oil

Description:
"The gse oil is a very good natural moisturizer.good for any skin type.this
should be used at night after washing your face with cyleina organic soaps, use
this before sleeping, it will help your face stay moisturized throughout the
evening and it will help you wake up to a softer and supple skin in the
morning
Made with 100% high grade grapeseed extract and infused with
Ylang-ylang essential oil."

I find this grapeseed oil to be a good moisturizer. Even if I have oily skin, I don't wake up with an oil mine face, which is rare for me! It smells good too!

Anyway, here are the conditions for this giveaway:
1. You must be a follower of my blog
2. You must post about this giveaway in your blog and provide a link to this page
3. Leave a comment here and provide the link to your page
4. There must be at least 10 entries for this giveway to push through, or I might decide to postpone it.

This giveaway ends July 21 (exactly one month from now). Anyway, good luck and thanks for joining!

Saizen Store + MAC tag

Hello dear readers! I'd like to write something about the Saizen Store located in Robinson's Galleria. I've seen some posts about it in Nikkiz' and Donnarence's blogs, so when my sister asked me to come with her to Saizen, I just had to say yes!

Here it is from the outside:

Just so you know, everything inside the store is P85 (around $1.60). There's a lot of stuff to look at. Not everything inside is value-for-money, though. There are some that you're better off buying somewhere else. But there's a lot of nifty finds in the beauty part...

Here's a picture. There are a lot of good nail stuff there that's interesting and they also have a nice selection for falsies. I haven't bought anything yet, but I will in the future!

Anyway, moving on, I got MAC tagged by Pammy and Martha. I have to admit I'm not as into MAC as most makeup junkies are (since I'm a MMU addict at heart), but I'm always happy to oblige!

Here it is...

How long have you been using Mac?

What was your first Mac product?

What's your all time favourite Mac product?

Do you own a Pro Card?
Nope, coz we don't have a Pro store here.

Your Mac foundation shade:
I haven't found my exact shade yes. I'm definitely lighter than NC30 so I'm around NC20-25. Yes, I don't use MAC foundations since I only use MMU foundations.

Product Review: Shu Uemura High Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O

photo taken from www.sephora.com

What it is:
A two-in-one cleanser and makeup remover.

What it is formulated to do:
High Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O provides antiaging and antioxidant skin purification that thoroughly cleanses the skin while protecting it against the internal and external aggressions associated with aging. Leaves skin smooth and protected without stripping it of its natural oils.

What else you need to know:
shu uemura's #1 selling Cleansing Oil. Suitable for all skin types.

Like it says, this is Shu Uemura's bestselling cleansing oil. It's most probably for the antioxidant properties it has. I haven't been using it enough to see if my skin has gotten more youthful, but I'll give a little of what I think about.

The first thing that I noticed is that it doesn't emulsify as well as the pink one. I don't know if it's just me. I'm no expert on cleansing oils. It also didn't leave my face as zit-free as the pink one. Well, the pink one is the one that is meant for oily skin so I can't hold it against this variant. However, in the time span that I was using this, I got two compliments from my guy friends who asked me if I was doing something different with my face since my skin looked nice. Hmmm.... I don't know if it's because of this variant or the prolonged effect of using this plus the week before when I was using the pink variant.

Like the other cleansing oils, I can actually get away without using moisturizer at night since it leaves my face moist.

Will I buy this again? Like I said, I have to wait until I've tried all the oils to decide which one I'm going to buy.

Product Review: Shu Uemura Skin Purifier High Performance Cleansing Oil Fresh

photo taken from www.sephora.com

Product Description:

What it is:
A two-in-one cleanser and makeup remover.

What it is formulated to do:
High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil Fresh provides refreshing and radiance-enhancing skin purification that thoroughly cleanses the skin while respecting its integral balance.

What else you need to know:
Suitable for normal to oily skin types and acne-prone skin. Removes waterproof makeup
.

As all of you know, I got this in a set of 6 cleansing oils and I have to say that I am in love! I'm no expert on cleansing oils since the only one I've tried apart from the Shu oils are Elianto Green Tea Cleansing Oil and DHC Cleansing Oil (once only). Of all the Shu oils, I decided to start with this first since this is the most recommended for oily skin.

I'm not used to using the oil cleansing method since it doesn't give me that squeaky clean feeling I get from washing my face with soap. Sometimes I still wash my face with soap after just because I'm not used to that moist feeling. What sold me on this variant is that when I feel a bump coming on, I wash with this at night and the next morning, the bump is dry! I'm really impressed. And take note that I'm very acne-prone and I don't even need to use my acne soap anymore.

I also don't have any problems with it emulsifying. It washes off easily with water. It has a nice mild scent and what really surprised me is that I only need to use a small amount of oil. I think my 50 ml bottle will last me 2 1/2 to 4 months if I use it once a day only. And it really does take off all the makeup in my face. I won't be using this as an eye makeup remover, though, since I think it's too pricey to be used as an eye makeup remover. Better use something cheaper that does the job.

Will I buy this again? I have to go through my other oils to see which one I like best, but I will be getting a Shu oil for sure.

Quick tip though: Better find someone who will buy this from the US or from a Duty Free abroad. That's what I'll be doing since it's just too expensive here.

Loot from Urban Decay Friends and Family Sale + More Blogger Giveaways

Finally, I received my loot from the Urban Decay Friends and Family Sale last April. I know this is so late but I had it shipped via sea freight. I'd like to say thank you so much to Aileen for all the help she gave. She's been so kind to help me.

I just love UD products. They have really cute packaging too!

Anyway, here's my loot!

I got the extra large size of UDPP (can't live without it), a Brow Box and the Ammo Shadow Box. I also got a free lipstick sample in Sellout. Just to show you how small the sample is, I held it in my hand:

See the size? It's seriously cute though.

Here is the Ammo Shadow Box:

I love UD shadows! They are so pigmented! And here is a look at the brow box. It's my first time to try this.
